From Grass To Grassoline

Researchers at Ghent University have developed a process that turns grass into fuel.Scientists at the Centre for Microbial Ecology and Technology (CMET), Ghent University have developed a way to turn grass into biofuel. Will we soon drive on ‘grassoline’?”Until now, grass has mainly served as feed for animals. We can get more out of grass: due to its vast abundance, it is an attractive source to produce organics such as aviation fuel” , scientist Way Cern Khor tells us. During his PhD research at Ghent University, Belgium, he investigated methods that disintegrate and bioconvert grass until it can be used as a fuel.

A Medical Doctor  returning from Church jumps  into the lagoon from 3rd Mainland Bridge 

A yet to be indentified Medical Doctor who was returning from church ,jumps into the lagoon from the third mainland bridge after he order his driver  to pull over.

The reason behind his act  is unknown .Men of Lagos State Rapid Response Squard are already on ground to see if he can be rescue, the driver and the  car has been taken to the police station.

The Management of Bell Newspaper has honoured Mr. Aniedi Udoh, a petroleum marketer for his humanitarian services to the society. 

Presenting the award to Mr Udoh, The Publisher /Editor -in-Chief of the Newspaper Mr. Akaninyene Essang,  said that having monitored the leadership  prowess  of the petroleum  magnet over the years, it became crystal clear that he has touched several lives which  spurred  that the Bell Newspaper  to identify  with him

Mr.Essang also described Mr. Udoh as a man who has impacted  positively on the lives of his people. He urges him to continue  and do more for the people. 

In his response, Mr. Udoh ,who was represented by a manager in his company ,Mr. Kenneth Ishmael Udoumeh, said he was happy for the honour done him. 

He said the honour will spur him  to do more and used this occasion to commend Governor Udom  Emmanuel and his Deputy Mr. Moses Ekpo, for moving  the State to  greater heights.
